Shell + Bri — Lancashire wedding photographer
Lancashire is a vast, diversified county, where ten minutes’ worth of a drive can take you from a heavily urbanized area straight to a rural, near-bucolic landscape. For that reason, being a Lancashire wedding photographer gives me the opportunity to see a lot of great different wedding venues. Some may have that post-modernistic warehouse look, some are stylized as old-fashioned yet classy hotels from the fifties, while others seem to stay out of the bustle and rumpus of the big city traffic, as they serenely overlook the northern hills. Red Hall Hotel – a beautiful venue located just on the main road leading to Bury, certainly belongs to the latter variety.
I have photographed at Red Hall Hotel before and loved it there, which is why I was overjoyed when I learned that my next couple – Michelle and Brian (a.k.a. Shell and Bri) – have chosen it for their big day.
The wedding was unlike others I have done. Brian is an army officer and wore a ceremonial military uniform as his wedding attire. I could clearly sense pride in his look as he inspected every button and buckle in the mirror – the one on the wall in his hotel room as well as the one in Michelle’s eye.
Michelle herself looks absolutely stunning. The bride is always the most beautiful woman at a wedding, that’s an axiom; in this case, however, the axiom got a whole new meaning.
The wedding was simply amazing – as it is to be expected when you have a beautiful couple, lots of fun guests and a great wedding venue. The whole place was literally radiant with love, and the aura of happiness could clearly be felt within a thirty-mile radius. There was singing and dancing, there was wine, and there was one Lancashire wedding photographer who loves working with happy people.
